BayView State School - Speech
Following his role as the Fun Run Ambassador, Thomas was invited to BayView State School to present kids with prizes for there performance at the run. He spoke on assembly about the importance of protecting the Koala population in the Redlands. He also touched on the significance of a healthy lifestyle and getting involved in sport.
Redlands Koala Fun Run Ambassador
As a resident of the Redland City, it was a great pleasure to be appointed the Ambassador of the Redlands Koala Fun Run. As part of the role, Thomas ran in the event, spoke to the community about the koala issue and presented runners with prizes. It was a great event and a fun day out.
Principle for a Day - Lota State School
As part of the Queensland Education Week, Thomas was invited to participate in the Principle for a Day. He visited Lota State School and acting as Principle for the day, spoke to children in their class room, participated in physical education classes and addressed the school at assembly. He treated the children to a gymnastics display and showed his Commonwealth Games Gold Medals.
London 2012 - The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games
Thomas was asked to participate in the in the filming of the official video game of the 2012 Olympic Games. Using the latest motion capture technology, Thomas was required to wear a full body suit so the computer could track his body’s movements when performing his gymnastics skills.
Australia Day Awards - Redlands City
Each year, Redland City Council recognises outstanding residents of the Redlands through its annual Australia Day Awards. Thomas was recognised at the event and scored a nomination for the 2010 Sport Award.
Gold Medal Tour
Along with fellow Commonwealth Games team mates, Thomas visited three gymnastics clubs in South-East Queensland to display his gymnastics skills. The display was followed by a meet and greet with spectators and also a question and answer session.

K-Mart Wishing Tree Appeal
Thomas was invited to attend the 2010 Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal launch in front of their Capalaba store. Thomas was guest speaker at the event which aims to raise more than 450,000 gifts for Australian’s in need.
Commonwealth Games Welcome Home Function
Along with other athletes from the Redlands City, Thomas's achievements at the 2010 Commonwealth Games were recognised and acknowledged by the Redlands City Council in an event they hosted.
Bon Voyage Training Event
Before jetting off to Delhi, Thomas hosted a Bon Voyage event in his training gym where he and younger gymnasts displayed their biggest skill. This was a great opportunity for myself and others to show our skills in front of a crowd.
Clover Hill State School - Speech
Prior to leaving for the Commonwealth Games, Thomas was asked to speak at the school assembly and address issues such as goal setting, determination and hard work. Using his experience in gymnastics and his come back from injury, he was able to tie these themes together. The children were also able to participate in a question and answer session.
Totally Wild - Network Ten
Network Ten approached Thomas to star in their family TV show Totally Wild. The segment required him to present a breakdown of the Floor Exercise and Horizontal Bar and then display all the elements he explained. It was a unique experience for Thomas as he had a microphone box strapped to his body, underneath the leotard, as he performed the skills. Check out the behind the scenes photos.
Varsity Gymnastics Grand Opening
Thomas, along with fellow team mate, Sam Simpson took part in the Grand Opening of the Varsity Gymnastics Clubs new training facility. As part of the event, Thomas displayed his gymnastics skills on the new equipment, engaged the crowd and signed autographs for spectators.
